Better Hong Kong Movement Association is a non-sectarian, non-political, non-profit organization. The purpose of the Association is to take a keen and pragmatic approach to understand the problems confronting Hong Kong, and through the real understanding of the root causes of the problem, to develop a practical and effective solution for the betterment of Hong Kong.

Problems only appear to be complicated because we fail to perceive the real underlying causes and therefore unable to execute the real solution.

We wasted time and effort dabbling on the periphery because we fail to target the root cause of the problem and allow the problem to drag on and on.

Problem fail to be resolved also because we tend to rely on the so called experts, or  people in the business, professionals to help us deal with the problem. But these people because of vested interest only complicate the situation further and the least likely to come up with the real solution to the problem which they help to create.

Once this is understood, many unsolved problems will suddenly take on new light and become simple and clear.

We feel strongly that the ultimate effective solution must come from all of us willing to take up the responsibility for what happens to Hong Kong. Before we point our fingers at our government or its officials, we should perhaps ask ourselves that given same circumstances, could we do better.

Aside from presenting our views and our solutions, we welcome you to give the problem some serious thinking and come up with a clear, easily understood analysis of the root cause of the problem and suggest a practical and better solution. By this, we want you to show us what action we can take individually to help get the problem solved.

We are not looking for mere complaints. We want your problem solving suggestion in a clear, unequivocal way. 

A truly effective solution should embody the following attributes:

2. <!--[if !supportLists]--><!--[endif]-->Perception of the true causes of the problem
3. Clear action plan to deal with the problem
4. <!--[if !supportLists]--><!--[endif]-->Support required from the people may be minimal but the result is far reaching

In this manner, we shall overcome all difficulties and make Hong Kong better.
